joints No Comments »

Joint stiffness can be one of the most frustrating symptoms when it comes to osteoarthritis. Whether it is knee stiffness, back stiffness, neck stiffness, or shoulder stiffness- it’s time to get those joints moving.

Joint stiffness usually occurs after sitting or standing in the same position for longer than 20-30 minutes. Simple movement can help blood flow and circulate some of the inflammation out of the joint. The more we can use our muscles, the less inflammation that sticks around. If your joints feel like cement blocks when you try to get up and walk, try these 5 simple exercises for joint stiffness relief with Dr. Alyssa Kuhn, physical therapist and arthritis specialist with Keep the Adventure Alive.
