Dr. Mohan M R | Appointment booking number: 8022540900
Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon | Nano Hospitals, Hulimavu Bangalore
This basically indicates that there is a pain and inflammation of the small joints. These are the smaller joints where there is pain. The commonest reason for this is a trauma. There is a major trauma and a minor trauma based on the history we will be able to know and based on the examination we will be able to know whether it is a trauma related , but more so common with a spontaneous pain in the hand joint and the finger joints is called as inflammatory arthritis were there area different arthritis of the inflammatory arthritis. The commonest in the inflammatory arthritis is the post viral. Of late we see a lot of small joint arthritis following viral fever. After sometimes the patient will find pain in the fingers and the joints and there will be morning stiffness and we will feel more so pain in the morning. As you keep using the finger joints, you will feel better these are the classical signs and there are more serious forms of reactive arthritis or more severe forms of inflammatory arthritis, it can be classified as rheumatoid arthritis. But that has to be labeled based on the ACL criteria. So I would suggest you to visits an orthopedic surgeon or a rheumatologist whether any of the serious inflammatory arthritis is present there or not.

Dr. Leslie Sisco-Wise and Dr. Ross Dunbar discuss what causes trigger finger and how to treat it. Dr. Sisco-Wise says, “Most people in the beginning will complain of pain in the palm and then over time it’s actually where you get a clicking of the tendon that’s getting stuck and the finger may get stuck.”

Video for use in teaching CBT formulation, aiming to demonstrate some of the triggers, thoughts, feelings and responses linked with elevated mood. In order to try and provide information to build a formulation, the session moves faster than an average session might and does not include all aspects of standard CBT (e.g., agenda setting). An actor plays the character of Tom [Sam Newton], but the dialogue is not scripted, and as such this represents a natural therapeutic exchange. I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist, but this is not a perfect example of CBT!

Filmed and edited by Leeds Trinity University [Ricardo Barker]. The video was awarded a top video award from Healthline.com in 2015.

Workplace accidents, and serious injuries could effect you and your workplace. Slips, trips and falls account for many near death injuries, and fatalities. This animated video chronicles the workplace fall protection accident involving a man who fell 30 feet after disconnecting from his safety line. This near death experience for Russ and his family shows how serious slips, trips and falls are in the workplace. It also tells the perspective of his spouse and how she handled the trauma of this workplace accident.

Why is fall protection, and OSHA rules so important? Russ Youngstrom shares his story about a workplace fall protection accident. While working, he fell 30 feet, and survived. Now, he and his wife travel to share advice on fall protection, and it’s benefits.

An accident in the workplace can be life changing. It is a story of family, and of friends, and of co-workers who face the change and who ask questions for which there are no easy answers.

Oregon OSHA’s accident investigation requirements apply to all Oregon workplaces. If you have an employee who loses time from work due to an on-the-job injury or illness, you must determine what caused the injury or illness and act to prevent it from happening again. If your workplace has a safety committee, the safety committee must recommend how to prevent similar events from occurring.
