Every 65 seconds, a new brain develops Alzheimer’s, two-thirds of those brains belong to women, and no one knows why. Founded by Maria Shriver, The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about women’s increased risk for Alzheimer’s, fighting for more gender-specific research, and education everyone about the lifestyle choice they can make to enhance brain health.
What a pleasure it was to team up with Maria Shriver, the team over at WAM, and Penelope Dullaghan (illustrator extraordinaire!) to create a series of animated GIFs and a short film to help folks to better understand this mind-blowing disease and hopefully get closer to a cure.
